Hi friends, welcome to Chillsy's 7th monthly update!
Chillsy exists because we are frustrated at the lack of practical opportunities to make meaningful connections, and subsequent missed events and activities.
In these updates, we'll share what we've been up to, and our progress towards our goal of helping people overcome various barriers including time, opportunities, and confidence to do things they enjoy and feel less lonely.
Our Focus this month - Brunch Again!
Last update was all about brunch. This update, is also mostly about brunch.
We have successfully helped people make friends!
Since we launched the Gals Brunch, we’ve achieved:
5 brunches
22 individual groups
96 gals attend brunch & 106 pay
11 people have come back
…and many more state interest in attending with a regular fortnightly/monthly frequency.
With each brunch, we increased the quality of our operations and tested different variables. We’ve automated a bunch of the processes from emails, payments, and data management.
We’ve developed the value and quality of the end-to-end experience with personalised messages, improving group quality and experience prior to brunches, and implementing ice breakers.
A number of groups have been self-sustaining, organising their own future events and hangouts independently.
Through this month-long effort, we’ve learned so much about friendship, who our target customers could be, and what their problems are. Frankly, it feels like we’re at the tip of the iceberg, and like we need to move a lot faster, but it certainly feels like we’re heading in the right direction.
What else has been happening?
We ran a giveaway with Bake n’ Break!
Mohammed was on the radio at 5:50 AM! (it went average, but was a cool experience)

More than 200 Gals Brunch signups & returning paying customers
We actually managed to achieve all goals outlined in our previous update

The process is still very dependent on Charizze, who creates group chats and has to send through messages.
Our new headshot 🤣💀
Ugly
Covid has been crushing our brunch attendance, and resulted in a number of last-minute cancellations!
This affected the experience for those who attended and prevented us from implementing some of the things we wanted to trial
Our Focus For Next Month
Hone in on our understanding of the customer using our existing list 🗣️
Experiment with a few non-brunch activities 🧪
Develop and test a prototype 📝
Wrap up our incubator, and plan for the next steps 😱
